hello burger signs exclusivity deal with Uber Eats in Sidcup restaurant
Hi everyone, I’m Tony and I’m the founder of Hello Burger.
We have some exciting news, we’ve partnered up exclusively with Uber Eats and from Wednesday 30th November, we will be available for delivery in Sidcup on Uber Eats only.
Sadly that means we’re not going to be available on Deliveroo or Just Eat.
The goal is to get delivered food to our guests as hot, fresh and fast as possible. The tech and guest experience when working with Uber Eats is already proving invaluable. It’s been great working with our Uber Eats Business Manager; she’s helped us with everything from menu optimisation, to marketing, to opening times and our menu offering. All pretty geeky stuff I’m afraid, but we can see in the reviews that it’s working. This is the next step, it’s frankly helping us do a great job in a busy restaurant.
Like so many small businesses, we pivoted really quickly during Covid; it’s something we’re all really proud of. We saw the power of being able to serve our guests at home. Although we had offered delivery for a couple of years before Covid, it was in March 2020 that our business changed.
During Covid, we used our own drivers rather than having Uber Eats fulfil our deliveries for us. It worked really well for a couple of years, but as we all emerge from Covid, we’re pivoting again to find the right balance between delivered food and where we started as a great local restaurant.
It’s been a tough balance to strike; we think these next steps will cement our offering, how we do things and who we are. Creating clarity for our awesome team, and of course our guests!
We feel the benefits of exclusivity, and the support we receive, outweigh the fear of not being available to as many people.
Delivery is a huge part of Hello Burger, and I can only see that growing over the years. I want to make sure that we’re doing the absolute best job we can for our guests, whether that’s dining in with us, or at home. That’s our mission, date night or mate night, a family get together or whatever the occasion; we want to serve people great burgers and cocktails as a backdrop to spending time with your friends and family.
